The EKO Quality Mark represents a substantial share of organic food products. Stores are allowed to use the EKO label when more than 90% of assortment is certified organic and make demonstrable efforts in the field of sustainability.
EKO Quality Mark Certified
A quality mark is not the same as a quality system. A quality system contains a complete package including an organisation structure, processes and procedures that are essential for good quality care of products. Sometimes, a quality mark is an element of this quality system, but not always.
A quality mark also differs from a normal brand or label. A brand is no guarantee but only a word, logo, symbol or form on a product packaging to show that the product is distinct from others. A quality mark is a claim and a guarantee, a certificate.
